Recurring Dream

Is anyone good at interpreting dreams?

Periodically, I have this same dream, and since it's so realistic while I'm dreaming it, I get extremely frantic and ...depressed?

I can be in the middle of other dreams, but it's always the same. I come into a room and suddenly remember that I have a big birdcage with parakeets inside (I have none in r/t, although I had some as a teenager). I realize that I haven't given them any seeds or water or attended to them at all for months... If it was reality they would be dead, but they're always alive, some barely, and the rest rough looking and frantic themselves because they're so hungry and thirsty.

I dream this often and I would like it to stop.

Ok I’m going to attempt lol. The birds may represent yourself or something important to you that you have put on the back burner. Possibly need to take time to treat yourself or take care of something in your life that is being neglected by you, your emotions or something els. Just my two cents! *HUGE PINCH OF SALT*

Get rid of the birdcage and watch the Robin Williams movie The Birdcage (1996). That ought to help!

I would assume it is your ego/ emotional mind projecting an inner feeling of shame dating back to something in your childhood. The birds are an image of your teenage years.

Is there something that happened where you were told you weren’t good enough in such a way it stuck with you?

Or maybe you were mildly but frequently told to do better as a kid? Usually this is totally innocent parenting but can lead to unhealthy shame (manifesting as perfectionism in later life).

Letting go of whatever shame you hold will help, but finding it and the triggering events is not always so easy. I hope that helps.

You may be onto something.. I'm retired (disabled )and taking care of myself. One thing I'm upset about is not having a car. I had to give my car to my husband so he could go to work. I'm suppose to be getting a car but I feel like it's never going to happen...

It's very important to remember that there's absolutely zero meaning to our dreams. Asking someone to interpret your dream is like handing them a book written in a nonexistent language and asking them to summarize the plot.

There's also no way to know if your spoken recollection of a dream is accurate to the content of it exactly as it was dreamt. Our minds are programmed to fill in blanks and attempt to find patterns or recognition where there is often none at all.

Recurring dreams are a mystery to a science. It's believed that dreams can be influenced by everything from exposure to sunlight, diet and even menstrual cycles. Ultimately, nobody on the planet can tell you what your dreams might mean because nobody's brain works exactly like your own.

Chalk it up to just your brain trying to keep itself entertained and the body immobile as it goes through the reparation process of sleep.

I used to have a recurring dream my whole life and it was terrifying and I woukd always wake up in a cold sweat shaking.
I was in a labyrinth and being chased by a dragon. I didn't know which way to run and would run and run and couldn't escape the dragon.
Then after many years of suffering thus nightmare one night a great voice told me to stop running and fight. Even though I was already very frightened I mustered up the courage and with everything I had I stopped running and faced the dragon.
When I did a big sword of light appeared in my hand and when the dragon saw it he just fell over dead.
I never had the dream again.
I believe it meant I had to listen to myself and not be afraid and face my fears. Turns out the dragon was just a bully and was more scared of me.

Your frantic search for cock in your mouth manifests in error as parakeets. The cage is your mouth. The error occurs because subconsciously every time you have sucked cock you knew Jesus was watching. The birds barely surviving are all the cocks that were poorly sucked and inadvertently bitten. They made it, spent of all juice, but barely and at what cost? What cost I say?
My treatment: Pump the brakes on so much dick sucking. It’s not a race and there’s plenty of them so don’t be a hog. Take that free time and breath…not just through your nostrils like usual either. Open your mouth, put nothing inside it, and just breath the cum free air.

Hmmm...I was a Saint when I was young. My parents were alcoholics and that was no fun growing up with. I did something shameful about...10 years ago...12...? I've sorely regretted it but I've been forgiven (but can you ever feel like you're completely forgiven? The memory is always lurking there.) I wish I could have it wiped from both my and my family's memories..

I hate to burst ya'lls bubble, but I think it's time for the truth to be told. Females do NOT love sucking dick. They only do it to please you (of course, whores do it for money). Are we in accord?

Thank you for your input, but I disagree.

Bullshit. Most men have known at least one woman in their life that couldn't get enough cock. There's women out there that will suck the cocks of strangers just to get their fix.

There's no understanding the reason why some women are like this, but there's no denying that they exist.

You're welcome. I don't mind that you disagree, everyone's entitled to their opinion.

Dreams teach us how we would exist if
there was no time. In Chaos. Time makes it so our perception has an order of chaos. Always moving in one direction. This is why it's possible to time travel to the future but not the past. In the dream dimension anything is possible which makes it confusing for us.
As far as what they mean, they point toward the direction of not being fulfilled. Like knowing you could die at any moment but not living the life you desire or want or need. Food and water are what gives us life and strength to make it so we can enjoy our short life, and without them or with very little we stay sick and weak or worse; die.
There's also a way to be in control of your dreams. It requires a few steps at bedtime and before REM sleep but it works.

Well color me shocked. You mean to tell me that women don't like to feel lesser than another person? Does Bill Clinton know this? 😂

You should forward this to your mom. I'm sure she would appreciate it. Better yet Mother's day is right around the corner, put it in a card and show her the effort you put into it.

Why doesn't the brain just shut off and rest then? Why does it need to entertain itself for the short time REM sleep occurs? Why do animals dream also? Must they be entertained? My body isn't immobile when I dream (due to a couple of severe concussions).

Look not at what the dream is symbolising; look at the lines - the connections.
You had parakeets as a teenager…
Something about that time or yourself during that time or,
Simply, a very deep feeling that now, with age, manifests as this dream.
Not to probe, but… did anything significant happen which might be attached to the birds, or the concept of caring for those birds?
Perhaps you might query your life and how it all was at that time in your life if you would seek answers.

It may also just be that you miss those parakeets.. or they miss you! hahahaha!

- I used to and still have a dream where I’m in my local area, alone… there’s like never any other humans - no cars no nothing
And it’s ALWAYS nighttime with an eerie purple sky - lights don’t look correct either, streetlights and lamps indoors, all look so dirty and dim.
I am looking for something in those dreams… but I have never located it.
I know I’m having those dreams, I wake always remembering where I’ve been and that the sky was an eerie purple.
Last I had that dream was about half a year back - I was looking to find myself I think.
Thought I’d share hahah

Dreams have plenty of meaning. It is our unconscious expressing itself the way our waking “self” can’t. Maybe it has to do with a feeling of restraint that needs resolved. Birds represent several things. Our sense of liberation or our soul if you understand such a thing. Maybe there needs to be some obligation that liberates you in the future

I’ve demonstrated my skill at psychotic analist….please pay Mrs. Worthington on your way out. Good day
