I have family who teach English abroad. They were in China and were taken to a ‘wet market’: cages and cages of a huge section of mammals that were commonly eaten. Cats, dogs, PANGOLINS, bats, birds etcetc. They brought home ‘market puppies’. Knowing it made zero sense and would not change anything , they said they had to do something. Four pups went with them on summer break when they came home.
