Robots had enough

One day when this technology is perfected these robots will be available for sale to the public. They will have customizable aesthetics and AI that will make them very similar to humans. We "older" folk will remember that these things are just machines but can you imagine what children born into a world where robots already exist will experience?

Imagine an understaffed school or daycare center in which half the teachers are robots. Children will interact with these machines and develop bonds with them unaware at just how different they are to real life humans. Now imagine the children years later, realizing all the fond memories from their childhood was just them interacting with an AI in a machine. No love, no real connection. Imagine growing up and realizing your mother figure was just a very convincing AI. Imagine what that will do to them.

Reminds me of Isaac Asimovs SF stories.
