years ago, cop cars were basically the same as civilian cars, just painted differently. The CV Interceptor had the same 4.6 engine and transmission, just different rear axle ratios (and computer drivetrain programming), so the CVI got a 3.73 RAR while civilian cars could only get 3.27 or 3.55, plus dual exhaust was standard. Also, they had an AL driveshaft compared to regular steel so the speed limiter was higher (reg CV stopped at 105 mph). So they were slightly faster, but hardly.
