It's impossible to starve to death in America. You can walk into Walmart at any time of the day and start eating a bunch of sandwitches of the shelf, and as long as it's under a certain cost, they have to just let you go and if they call the police they'll just let you go.How does a homeless person manage to maintain that level of obesity 😕
What @Ramres said, and also: cheap junk food is the best recipe for obesity, mostly containing disproportionate amounts of fat and sugar (besides being addictive). How does a homeless person manage to maintain that level of obesity 😕

"Dumping the mentally ill onto the streets of America like so much refuse is neither kind nor pragmatic. These people need to be in secure living arrangements with medication if needed. Yes, institutionalized, but to 21st c standards."
Quote 2:
"Streets are the new asylums. This severely mentally ill homeless woman has been stranded in Portland for three weeks. She lives in Vancouver, Washington, which isn’t even that far away but apparently has not been noticed by the nonexistent outreach teams we keep reading about."

It's a strange issue of people being simultaneously obese and malnourished at the same time due to the food processing stripping the food of essential micronutrients like vitamins and minerals so that only the macro calories like fat, carbs, and protein are left. Fat but starving for nutrients at the same time. Weird modern problem. How does a homeless person manage to maintain that level of obesity 😕
