they don't even teach cursive in school anymore
In the '60s in elementary, we had so-called 'beautiful writing' lessons in Germany. That's cursive but you have to write on/between 4 or 5 lines (on a special paper) to get a 'perfect' result. Wasn't bad; a bit like calligraphy.
I guess they don't teach that anymore as well.

I guess they don't teach that anymore as well.
I think they should still teach cursive first because everyone should know how to sign their name, but also because it takes practice and patience. Kids don't know the meaning of either word anymore.

Poor kids.

They’ll never be able to experience, and appreciate, using a Biro pen to wind cassette tapes back in when the tape got caught and pulled out.

Or being jealous of people that had turbo fast forward and rewind on their VHS players, meaning it only took a couple of minutes rather than 10 minutes to find where you wanted to watch.
