I didn't realize chickens ate mice
Wasn’t expecting that.
My chooks love mice! We had a mouse plague last year near me in Albury, NSW. Dead mice left by the cats and sucked by the dogs and stepped on by me with bare feet in the morning. I'd throw them to the chooks and they'd fight each other to get to them!
Chickens are real predators. They roam my garden hunting down every snail, slug, spider what ever. Up and down endlessly hunting. When I bought my place (1 acre) every rain shower there would be thousands of snails and slugs cruising around and I couldn't use snail bait due to my dogs. Then we got chooks... no more snails and slugs...
