100 percent death rate and incredibly, most of them with severe 3rd degree burns with over 70 percent if their body are alert, oriented, and in very little pain because the burns are so severe they burn up the nerve roots, so they actually don't have much pain at first. Within 8 hours, MASSIVE fluid shifts, kidneys and liver are already fried because burns shunt blood, within 16 hours from now, he will be unconscious, and within 30 hours, DEAD and the firefighter/paramedics know it. Notice they aren't rushing that much. It's not because they don't care, they know enough from school that with burns like that, death is AUTOMATIC 100 percent. He will swell like a giant Ballon and they basically die from kidney/liver failure and a gorilla death, but one where you actually have about 4 to 6 decent hours of being alert and able to prepare family and affairs.
