That's the difference between a wild pig and a domesticated pig... totally different beasts.

The wild one is strong, smart and aggressive.

This one, not so much...

Note the big ass on it. All the better for hams.
Selective breeding over 8000 years has made for a much easier to manage pig with far greater meat and fat growth for a given weight of food.

No matter what you fed the wild guy he wouldn't put on weight nearly as fast as his pink offspring x 10 000 generations or so...
