The Exorcism of Encarnación Guardia: The Amateur Exorcist

Alberto Devilor

Fresh Meat
In January 1990, a 36-year-old woman from Granada, Encarnación Guardia Moreno, died after undergoing a brutal and improvised exorcism carried out by a local baker known as "El Pastelero" ("The Pastry Chef"), together with several female relatives.

Encarnación had become convinced that she was possessed by the Devil after returning from France, where she had reportedly taken part in occult or black-magic practices. Believing that Lucifer was inside her, she sought help from the self-proclaimed healer.

The ritual lasted many hours. During the exorcism:

1. She was forced to drink large quantities of hot water mixed with salt.

2. She was repeatedly made to consume various concoctions.

3. Her clothes and personal belongings were burned because they were believed to be contaminated by evil spirits.

4. She was physically restrained, beaten, and subjected to increasingly violent attempts to "expel the demon."

5. Severe injuries were inflicted to her vaginal and anal areas during the ritual.
They mainly inserted a wooden stock into her anus and then into her vagina.

Eventually, her sister found her naked, covered in blood, and barely conscious. She was taken to hospital, where doctors were shocked by the extent of her injuries. Encarnación died shortly afterwards.

The forensic investigation concluded that the immediate cause of death was largely the enormous quantity of salt she had ingested, which caused fatal physiological damage.

The Trial

The trial took place in 1992. The accused, a person who had an IQ that was easy to suroass, maintained that Encarnación herself believed she was possessed and had begged them to remove the demon from her body. The baker claimed he was only trying to help her.

The prosecution described the ritual as a series of brutal acts that included physical assaults and dangerous forced ingestion of salt-based mixtures.

The court eventually convicted the baker and several relatives involved in the ritual. The baker and two cousins received five-year prison sentences, while another participant received a shorter sentence.

She clearly had psychosis or schizophrenia, and wanted help because of her delusions. She was forced to suffer an extensive list of injuries for days because of religious bullshit. Female family members helped and she was held down because an “expert” man with an IQ in the negatives thought it was the right thing to do. The whole pueblo heard this happening, as she screamed continuously throughout the ordeal, including during the extraction of her intestines from her anus

Thank you for your contribution. The story, which is written in Spanish, contains extremely gruesome details that are perfect for this page, such as the one you mentioned about them sitting on him and removing his hemorrhoids through his anus. However, the rushed translation hasn't allowed me to delve deeper into those details that bring the story to life.

Her autopsy is a significant part too. The forensic doctor’s cameras failed to take any clear photos for court, even though the cameras and film were functional. The perpetrators said it was because she was possessed by the devil, who was preventing his image from being captured. Her body’s state also showed that her neck ligaments were torn and stretched out, supporting witness claims that she turned her head 360 degrees, as well as vocal cord damage that explains why her voice was unnaturally deep during the exorcism, which the perpetrators said was the devil speaking. Oh, and her cause of death was severe dehydration caused directly from the 3 kilograms of salt they stuffed down her throat. Her organs dried up, her brain swelled, and she went into a fatal coma from irreversible nervous system damage
