Thailand is in Asia, the Amazon river basin in in South America.Back story:
"A young fisherman in the Amazon was attacked by an anaconda while diving into the water in search of a fish. The shocking moment, recorded on video and shared on social media, shows how the reptile suddenly emerged and bit the man on the arm, trying to wrap itself around him and drag him underwater.
The situation turned critical in a matter of seconds. Two companions who were nearby reacted immediately and, in a desperate struggle, managed to detach the snake from the victim's body. Their intervention was key to preventing the animal's constriction from becoming fatal.
The young man survived the attack with visible wounds on his arm and marks from the violent struggle. Although his identity and the exact location of the river were not revealed, local media place the incident in the Amazon region of Bolivia, where different species of anacondas live.
The anaconda (Eunectes beniensis) is one of the most impressive reptiles in the Amazon. These animals typically live in rivers, lagoons, and flooded savannas, where they hunt fish, birds, and mammals. Although they are not venomous, their constriction-based attack method makes them feared predators."
