Which did you prefer?

I liked them both. But John Carpenter's The Thing was great. Far, far scarier than the original The Thing from Outer Space. But it was intelligently written, and the sense of foreboding was well done. But Carpenter's version had a sense of isolation and paranoia.

I saw Alien at age 7 and scared the shit outta me! Now it's one of my all time favs. However for the GOAT, I gotta give it to The Thing! 🤟😎
