The world feels boring or am I boring

I use to be miserable and every time I felt miserable I would write down my life goals -- essentially just a list of everything I wanted within reason. I would compare that list to what I currently had and reason if that path would lead me to my goals. If I came to the conclusion that it would not fulfil my goals then I moved on to other things. If that required me quitting school or a job I didn't like then I did so.

The most important thing I discovered from leaving places to go to new places is a snowball effect of friendships and contacts gained from passing through so many places. And in the end it was through these friendships that ultimately made me realise, quite recently, that I wasn't miserable anymore and likely will never be again.

Everything on my list of life goals began falling into place, not exclusively through the accumulation of wealth, though that was certainly important, but through the accumulation of friends. I have friends who invite me to barbeques, on their boats, let me use their summer homes, offer free consulting at any time, and it's honestly blown my mind how important making friends are compared to just making money. And you don't even need to do anything special, just go outside, go to the store, interact with people. I also learned time is more valuable then money. Take alot of time off in life to do what you want.
Yes, a daily checklist keeps me sane. Have two colums, personal items to do and business items to do.
The world feels boring because it runs on the same loop every single day — people wake up, work for money, spend money, chase more of it, or fall into darker cycles of selling and buying drugs just to numb the routine. Life becomes nothing more than surviving paycheck to paycheck, searching for a way out that rarely exists. In other parts of the world, people live just to die under corrupted systems, where survival itself is the only goal, and their suffering feeds the greed of those in power. Meanwhile, some of us are told we’re “free,” but is that freedom real or just the illusion the government wants us to believe? Why should we think only within the limits they set? Why is there no true escape? They give us distractions — trends, entertainment, social media — all to keep us from noticing how trapped we are. Life feels like an easy-to-read book, predictable in every chapter, yet no one ever really achieves anything except circling back into the same loop, living for “something” that may never even exist. And maybe that’s the cruelest part — that we’re convinced this cycle is meaning, when in reality, it’s just survival disguised as purpose
I relate. Make a daily checklist, it will keep you somewhat sane. The checklist does a couple things: makes you think of what you want/need; makes you finish out whats on your checklist. Start with small task, if you have a big goal.

Life is boring . It's the exciting little things that make it worth it . If you lived in a self designed Utopia ; where everything you wanted happened .You'd get bored of that eventually . Think of all the famous people who we think have everything . they usually can't keep a relationship and end up O.Ding

Welcome to being a adult

That's balls deep...and dark.
I believe that the human brain was designed for a certain lifespan. Overtime, fun activities and events are not as fun as they used to be when you were a kid. When I was a kid, the Fourth of July fireworks going with the family was so much fun. Now I find them not only boring, but they annoy me when I’m trying to relax.
Watching a new fall TV series as a kid, hoping the main character does not get killed during the first episode. Now as an adult, you know that won’t happen because it would be the end of the series.
Even lobster, prime rib, and rare scotch is not that exciting anymore if you have it too much. I’ve taken many exotic vacations, and expensive Disney trips. Been there done that. Like I said overtime things just become less exciting.
Sex is still great, but not even close to when I was a teen. I’m sure that holds true for you as well.
You are right welcome to being an adult. Adulting fucking sucks. I don’t recommend it.

"Adulting"? Shut the fuck up faggot.

Yeah, it does feel like a rigged cycle — like the world was designed to suck the life out of you before you even get a chance to figure out what living means. Wake up, grind, consume, repeat. It's a machine, and we’re all shoved into it from birth. And you're right — most of what we call “freedom” feels more like permission to choose your flavor of cage.
But here’s the thing — even in this loop, even in the numbness, some people still manage to carve out something real. Not because the system wants them to, but in spite of it. That fight, however small, matters. Choosing to care, choosing to create, choosing not to go numb — that's rebellion in a world built to keep you asleep.
It’s not about pretending everything is fine. It’s not. It’s about refusing to let the system define your entire existence. If we’re stuck in the loop anyway, might as well glitch it wherever we can. Make noise. Make something ugly, beautiful, angry, real — anything that wasn’t prepackaged for us.
Maybe we don’t find “escape,” but we find friction. Resistance. And sometimes, that’s enough to feel alive.

Let me know if you want a version that leans more hopeful, more poetic, or even darker.

I agree. That's why I can't wait to die and fuck my Danish ancestor. My partner thinks I'm weird when I say that, but seriously... life is shit. Hopefully we'll have much more fun on the other side.

"Adulting"? Shut the fuck up faggot.
Adulting: the practice of behaving in a way characteristic of a responsible adult, especially the accomplishment of mundane but necessary tasks.

You are just mad I get real pussy. You are the real butt fucking queer. Calling people a faggot for no reason. What’s wrong with you?

Adulting is a fake word used by bitches. Fuck off pussy. The only pussy you get is when you touch yourself.
