I don't mind gays. Some people in my friend group in my youth when I lived in NYC were LGB and I didn't see anyone clamoring for special rights, just the same rights as everyone else, namely the right to not lose their job/housing/life over being gay.
The transgender craze is a different matter. Children are literally being butchered in the name of this ideology. Men are muscling their way into women's spaces and sports. And people are being heavily pressured, even including the threat of losing their jobs, to claim agreement with the idea that men can become women and vice versa.
A lot of trans people want more rights than others. They want the right to self-define but also to define others against their will, such as labeling women "cis women" and people who disagree with them TERFs.
It's so ridiculous on its face. There is no other category of being that our society says you can believe yourself into. An adult can't claim to be a 5 year old and be enrolled in kindergarten. A human can't say they are a donkey and be housed in the petting zoo. But a man can say he's a woman--even without any hormones or surgery--and POOF be treated like one by most sheeple. Just in this one area has society totally lost touch with reality.
And only in this one area can children dictate to adults. If a child says they want to stay up all night, or quit school, or live on candy, no dice. If they say they want their dick or titties chopped off, sure, no prob!!
I keep waiting for this craze to end. I have hoped that it was just a phase, a brainless trend like pop rocks or slinkies. I'm beginning to think it's a permanent part of our civilization.
