In the Turkish city of Elbistan, Kahramanmaraş Province, or inland Turkey , things went terribly wrong during the demolition of a building that had already been reduced to very little. What began as a controlled demolition ended in chaos when the entire building suddenly collapsed, sending a cloud of dust, concrete, and debris into the street.

The building was located on Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Boulevard in the Güneşli neighborhood, and according to local media, hardly any security measures had been taken. No barriers, no warnings, just demolition in the middle of a busy street."

When the building collapsed, debris landed on parked cars and surrounding shops. One person was injured, but miraculously, there were no fatalities.
