Canada isn't nothing, it's just not really relevant to the world. A huge land mass with only a few population centers, all very close the the US border.
Its only real identity is (over priced) maple syrup, hockey, and hate on the US...it has no other cultural icons. (well, maybe some other sad pathetic ones)

The US should actively promote the full independence of the Province of Quebec, as the eastern provinces would then naturally gravitate toward the US and eventually become states.
