I agree, but there basically host for a disease to transfer to something else. They’re born of shit so disease doesn’t affect them depending on said disease. Not all of them are immune there. It’s those that have adapted to doing that.
Similar to you eating nothing but raw meat. You’re liable to get a disease, but if you continue eating and you may die, but you have kids and they eat nothing but raw meat. Eventually those become immune to some diseases from eating raw meat. And then those the consume just cooked meat try raw meat probably catch a horrible disease.
