This event, Trump wearing a white "USA" baseball cap, as the coffins containing 6 US service members are repatriated the States, being carried off a cargo plane and delivered to an awaiting van, has sparked outrage on one side but patriotism on the other side.

Like most, I grew up with the "take off your hat" bit, when at a funeral, meeting the Queen, or even at a hockey game when the anthem is played. Trump has his own form of ethics.

I think that's what Trump calls Iran's operation. Iran mockingly calls Trump's operation "Operation Epic Mistake" and I had read somewhere that they were calling their own operation "Operation Madman" (in reference to Trump).

Trump’s top counterterrorism aide resigns, citing Iran war​

"Joe Kent, the director of the National Counterterrorism Center, announced Tuesday he was resigning over the war in Iran — a stunning defection that shows how President Donald Trump’s decision to strike Tehran has divided some of the most loyal corners of his administration.

“Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby,” Kent said in a post on X Tuesday morning. “Until June of 2025, you understood that the wars in the Middle East were a trap that robbed America of the precious lives of our patriots and depleted the wealth and prosperity of our nation.”

Kent did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Spokespeople for White House and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, which houses the NCTC, also did not immediately reply to requests for comment on Kent’s statement.

Trump nominated Kent for the post last February. He was confirmed by the Senate in July."

No AA or even small arms gunfire fire from the ground, nobody around; this Iranian drone's purpose was probably just to get some footage (alot of footage, in this case) for the Iranians/IRCG of what and where stuff is located at the base. Hitting some random door probably did shit but blow the door off (if drone was even armed). I thought it was going to return to that aircraft shelter seen near beginning.

After Strikes, Trump Wants To Capture Iran’s ‘Crown Jewel’ Kharg Island​

"Days after saying the United States had “obliterated every military target" on Iran’s Kharg Island, US President Donald Trump is now weighing the possibility of seizing the island’s critical oil depot, according to an Axios report citing American officials.

The move would require US troops on the ground if oil tankers continue to remain trapped in the Persian Gulf.

Why does Trump want Kharg Island?
Kharg Island, located in the Persian Gulf, is Iran’s main terminal for oil exports and a crucial part of the country’s energy sector. Often called Iran’s “crown jewel", the island handles around 90-95 per cent of the country’s crude oil exports.

The terminal can load up to ten supertankers at the same time and has a loading capacity of roughly seven million barrels per day.

Despite heavy bombing of military facilities, Iranian state media said oil export operations on the island were continuing as normal.

The development comes as Trump has also threatened further strikes on the oil export hub and urged allies to deploy warships to secure the Strait of Hormuz, a key route for global energy supplies, while Iran has vowed to intensify its response.

US forces have continued to strike Iranian targets across the country, with particular focus on the Persian Gulf coast and Kharg Island, which lies about 15 miles off Iran’s coast and handles roughly 90 per cent of its crude exports.

Trump announced on Friday that he had ordered strikes on military installations on the island but spared its oil facilities. Speaking to NBC News on Saturday, he said the US “may hit it a few more times just for fun".

A senior White House official said no final decision had been taken on Kharg Island.

“The president has made no decisions on Kharg Island," the official said, adding that the situation could change if efforts to reopen the Strait of Hormuz continue to stall." Source
