Mulligan was a troubled child with mental health issues. He would lash out for attention and one of the few pastimes that maintained his interest was Thai boxing.

Six months before Logan’s murder, Mulligan was taken into care after he was assaulted by his mother. Staff at a care home said he was obsessed with Cole, shaving his head to resemble him.

He was placed with a foster family and threatened to kill them and Logan. He became fascinated with death, enjoyed violent video games and tried to get other children to play a murder game that involved putting them into black bin bags.

Despite the sentencing being quite high for the flimsy UK justice system (Angharad Williamson, was told she will serve at least 28 years before being considered for parole, while her partner, John Cole, will spend a minimum of 29 years in prison) Mulligan was also convicted of Logan’s murder and he will be detained for at least 15 years, meaning he will be out in much less worries me. His 'parents' if ever released will be too fucking old to hurt anyone but he will be in his 20s. is he a product of an evil upbringing or does he have genetically bad wiring and is he going to murder again.

Less than 30 years for brutally killing a baby. I don’t think the UK has life in prison, here they’d be on death row. People like this are just parasites and public executions should be brought back.

Give a kid enough trauma young enough and it causes neurological changes in the way the brain process stuff and burns out the ability to empathise and then anything is possible. (see 'neuro plasticity')

In this case the elder kid was obviously fucked up to start with and then got positive reinforcement from his parents. I'd love to read the court transcript and especially the psychiatric and psychological reports.
