Weird dream ...

I've had the most batshit crazy dreams lately...... where do I begin.....

After viewing gore for over 10 years ... I've just last night had my first dream about murder ...
Odd one at that, in it I stabbed 3 women in the lungs then in the heart ... then there was a "3 weeks later" kind of fast-forward in my dream and I was on trial for murder ... and for some reason, the dream got stuck on repeat / slow motion when I was at the stand explaining what I did, pleading guilty and all ...

Like, WTF ?
Has anyone else here experienced a gore / murder type dream before ?
It's really strange, considering the amount of material available here on GG, my dream was so dull and without detail ... there was no glory gore, just me stabbing 3 women in their lungs (strange thing again, is I don't recall seeing boobs at all, was all flat, as though I was just breaching skin and directly into the lungs). And none of them fought back or screamed.

I've also had several dreams like this but mine didn't have random people in them being murdered ... some were even people that I like ... I was even upset with myself for killing them in my dream

So my above mentioned dream me being in a friend's garden to help install some new fence panels ( i don't actually know what friend it was supposed to be, and the garden was a kinda cross between my own and my mum's garden )
My friend mentions that his neighbour is bad tempered and he got angry about him trying to fix his fence, I say about just getting it sorted asap so he has nothing to complain about... that's when I spot Noel Gallagher giving us the evil eye from his garden, we pick up some kind of old fence panel and put it on top of the fence to rotate it the correct way to install it, as we're rotating it Noel goes apeshit and starts smashing the panel to bits are trying to throw it back at us. At this point I lose my temper and steam into his garden to confront him.. he's hidden himself behind a big black rubbish bag that's by his shed, I drag him to his feet and I hurl him across his garden and smashing through one of the good fence panels, I then grab him and bang his head against one of the concrete supporting posts... now this is the bit that really got me when I woke up.. after banging his head I spat into his mouth 2 or 3 times! I honestly don't know where that bit came from

If i ever meet him in real life... I won't be asking him to help to put a fence up, that's for sure!

We only ‘dream’ when we wake up naturally at the end of a full sleep cycle.

A sleep cycle varies in time but is usually around 90 minutes. Some people have shorter cycles than 90 mins and some longer. And sleeps cycles vary in length in an individual person depending on various factors.

The cycles consist of: fall into light sleep, then into deep sleep with 3 stages, and then back to lighter REM (rapid eye movement) sleep.

We dream in our REM sleep, but only remember the dream if we wake up after that REM cycle. If an alarm wakes us while we are in a deep sleep stage, we don’t register our dreams, so it feels like you don’t dream. If you drink loads of water before bed, and have to get up to piss in the night, you are likely to ‘dream’ a lot.

Alcohol, sleeping tablets and other drugs stop us having the natural sleep cycles. They cause us to spend the whole cycle in deep stages, so there are no refreshing REM stages, and hence no dreams.

To feel refreshed when we wake up, it’s important to have REM stages, and wake up at the end of one of the REM cycles. You can work out your sleep cycle length if you let yourself sleep with no alarm set, so you can wake up naturally. Work out the total time sleeping and in minutes, then divide by around 80-100 until you get a whole number which gives you the minutes of the cycle (the dividing number) and the answer is the number of full cycles. Trying to align your alarms with the end of a sleep cycle, even if it’s less sleep than usual, will make you feel better in the morning and through the day.

as soon as i wake up,either to piss or for the day,i go over the last thing i remember from my dream. then more bits and pieces come to me through out the day. i even go to the dream interperetations for further details.
