music What’s Your Favorite Ramones Album and Top Five Songs? 🎧🎶

The Ramones made pop ditties, I strongly disagree that they were the start of punk rock in the 70s
Here is a sound I just discovered from The Clash, their first album, who started as a punk band anyway and the beginning of the sound is straight lifted from the Ramones, certainl the count off. I just submit this as more evidence before the court of punk:

Met Joey Ranone and the rest of the band coming outta the bathroom on 1981 at the "Lining Room" in Providence, RI. I was 15 at the time and places in New England didn't ask for I.D. so I was in and out of nightclubs with no problems. Seen Ramones probably no less than 20 times before i was even 18. My top three Ramones songs: #1 "Do you remember rock and roll radio?" #2. "I wanna be sedated". "3. "Rock and roll high school" ....Favorite album: "End of the century".

Seen the The Clash in 1982 at "The Providence Civic Center" at age 16 with my older brother and a bunch of us and this was my favorite song. Definitely the song on that first Clash album. The tour that year was actually "Rock the Casbah" tour.

Their best album by a mile, sadly, they started singing about shit in foreign countries that the British kids couldn't relate to.

Wow dude that’s amazing! I’m a dude who loves old band, I hate pop music now. This means a lot of the bands I love are long gone and I can’t see them anymore. I love Joey his voice is so unique, it’s one of the main reason I like them. That’s a great story!

Yea I dig it, getting into Ramones I’m listening to other early punk now just exploring. 👍

Brain Drain (released in 1989), is definitely my all-time favourite Ramones album 😎✅
