games What Game Are You Currently Playing?

Holy fuck, these games are getting ridiculously sized, that's like 40 bucks worth of my SSD drives space lol and I'm a fucking tightarse when it comes to storage :D

Yes, I remember some good games, size around 700 MB (Gothic 3, Earth 2060) and installed in a minute.
The mil-sim I'm playing has ~50GB at the moment (due many mods), tendency is rising. After an update hell breaks loose to get everything on track again. Happens at the moment.

I think it's a little more than that installed. Fucking crazy.

I don't think i have bought a cd game for my pc since the late 90's lol, I rememebr GTA 5 being something like 60GB on steam.
And that's before it downloads all it's updates and free dlc. Games are getting ridiculous in size, but people want to have lifelike (lolol) graphics and play in 4k. That shit won't fit on a cd. I think the last game I had on disc was Sanitarium.

I still have Undying, American McGees Alice and, Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth on disc I think. Maybe a few more. Still solid games too, as long as it doesn't need to look ultra HD.

I have this games as well, the Cthulhu story was quite spooky stuff and I like the books from Lovecraft.
Had hundreds of games on CD/DVD, collected in ca. 12 years. Gave away around 200 recently, but there are still a lot. Got internet at home quite late, and always a shitty connection.

Download this 50 GB games at Steam with my 3 MB/s DSL? Overnight, yes.

How to keep my monitor alive. Been playing since late last year when it started fucking up, and now it won't turn off. Which is better than not turning on I guess.
Oh monitor, I will beat you. You fucking prick.

The upside is I'm going to buy a 27 inch to replace it when the time comes, but that time is not now.

May have to try that one, from 2013 I think? Looks good.

I needed many years to get into it, not easy. It's more an open sandbox editor than a game with a story for me. Not everyones taste and it can be buggy at times. I'm playing it since 2004, first version was from 2001, I'm totally hooked.
But there is a modded version for playing zombie hunting, for example. Called Day Z. And other survival game modes.
