hey does anyone here come from Final Fantasy XI, or FFXIV by chance?
My entire childhood was FF orientated, shame they have not made a decent one since FF XII

Was'nt FFXI the online one that failed miserably? i never ended up playing that one.
7, 8, 9, 12. are the decent ones that playstation released, my favs are 9 then 8. 7 and 12 both epics in their own right but the translation from Japanese to Engrish makes 7s story line absolutely retarded(everyone says 7 is the best becoz of the storyline WTF
) , even though it is still highly enjoyable and playable, i love and i mean love 5 and 6 for the muthafuckin SNES.

No, FFXI was the online one that succeeded (by old-school standards, not World of Aspergercraft standards). FFXIV is the one that failed harder than any other major MMORPG in history.

yeah, to bad FXIV went back to the old grind and level routine. i heard though that they are supposed to change things up soon and try to make a come back? also, whats the forecast for FFXI..seriously that game was like handing me a loaded needle, i played that shit for 3 days straight. by the time i ragequit i had over 322 days of game play. are their still lots of players? ive been out out of the loop or a while.
I've read/heard that leveling up to the cap is now super-easymode and that you can solo it.
Thus, there's no reason to ever play FFXI again and it's ruined forever now. Being hard as piss and having to group up with six people to grind for eight months straight is what "made" the sense of community and accomplishment.

I love FinalFantasy, but 11 eluded me, i must of read bad reviews on it, i presume its dead now?

It's not dead. According to some recent server population numbers, there are still about 219,000 active accounts. I think it peaked at about 400,000 active accounts sometime in the mid-2000s.
It's dead to me, though, because it's not the same game anymore. Even if it were, I don't actually have enough free time to spend on an old-school MMORPG.
Well what do i need to get it up and running, can i download/torrent all the things i need to get it up and running?
