Chains was the last God Of War game I finished, I have in on a compilation disk on the PS3
Last of US 2 was deemed too gay for some yet there are many queers other than me complaining that the representation isn't good enough or something. Damned if you do damned if you don't. I thought it was a beautiful game.
It's a great game, maximizes the functionality of the psp. I also have the compilations but bought them after the downloadable content expired, so I still play Chains of Olympus on the PSP since I felt like picking it back up/replaying the series.

The writing of the story on part 2 was pretty lackluster compared to part 1 imo. It didnt help that for the majority of the game you play as a character that they dump on you, instead of Ellie or even Joel.
Also, all that stuff you go through on part 1 as Joel? The entire part 1? Get thrown out the window in the first what 20 minutes? I'd go out on a limb and say that most of the people that bought part 2 wanted to play the game in most of its length as Joel because that's who they made the attachment to in part 1, myself included, with the occasional Ellie sequences. Not get dumped on with a character they are forced to care about, but dont.
Also, a lot of misleading advertising in the trailers and that correlates to what i said about Joel above but thats Neil for you. Not the first time he did this. And...
I'm ok with Joel dying as long as it was well written and mattered to the story, not have him killed by the first quarter of the game and in that kind of stupid way even just because "HEY GUYS THIS IS ABBY! YEA. Please like Abby...? Pleeeeeeeeeeeease?" ; also the sex scene pacing. Fucking lel. Like wtf bro.
Anyways just my opinion. Its not a terrible game (more like a movie sometimes) but it was very disappointing having expectations from part 1. I suppose that's all on me though.
That's why I wait until the hype and price goes down, I paid something like 10 dollars each for Evil Within 1 and 2 and they are some of the best games I've played.

Some of the best titles are cheap as fuck. Price/rarity ≠ quality
