games What Game Are You Currently Playing?

Lol, upgrade to a tube tv :P I have a 35yr old zenith that's still tickin, my other CRTs are pushin 25 and still tickin as well. I use the zenith to play N64 and PS1 games.
Yes but don't have HD ports, is it?
And not 4k. Just this morning ordered a 49" LG 4ktv. Getting it next Wed, earliest free delivery date. Upto 45 squid otherwise!
Fuck that!! Hope it fits on my TV stand or I'm in trouble. I think it probably should. The legs are at the ends not in the middle like my current one.

KEEP that TV!

It's still going strong because back then, they were well made. They weren't built to fail like much of today's electronics.

Should you ever decide to get a modern TV to play your games on, be careful. Because they are older ones, they are most likely going to be annoyingly pixelated on a modern TV. Something to do with the way those games were formatted I guess. Idk. They weren't designed to work on an HD TV or something. I still have FF 9 for the PS1. Because my PS3 is backwards compatible, it plays PS1 games. I tried playing FF 9 on it with my Smart TV, and it was so pixilated I couldn't enjoy playing it. My Smart TV doesn't seem to have an option to switch it to SD and make the games look better. On my other TV, which is an older SD TV, the game looks fine. I'm not 100% certain if it's the TV or my PS3 being used to play the game. Just wanted to warn you in case you ever encounter this issue.

It has to do with newer TV's trying to upscale to a higher resolution when going from analog to digital, numerous companies make adapters to remedy this, but there's input lag involved.

I spent £349 this morning on a new TV. The lines on my current one have now only disappeared!! So it's fixed itself! Gutted. I'm going without for a few days now too.
I just checked, the 5.1 Dolby still isn't working so I guess it was still kinda needed. I don't get sound on prime video, YouTube is fine and Netflix I can turn it off. I could have waited and not been skint for a few of days.
