Oh, okay I was under the impression that they were grave robbers. Come to think of it - murder is murder, no question. But there's something pretty creepy all on its own - digging up a corpse

I think a lot of people are under the false assumption that they were grave robbers because of what was going on at the time these crimes were committed. The documentary actually went quite in depth into what was going on 'behind closed doors' so to speak to illustrate how this myth regarding Burke and Hare came about - very interesting, even just for the social aspect of life in those times. As you say, the whole idea of it is creepy! It is definately worth a watch though, lots of other interesting information too, very informative and well put together.
