I used the "Incredibly Easy" series of books all through nursing school. Quit reading the text books at all, about six months in.

Yes.

I hardly ever look at the mandatory text. Too many chapters to cover to try and get an undetstaning via reading the chapters.

I have a couple of those downloaded but never looked through them. I'll def look them over now.

There is so much assigned reading in the texts, and it's always written in such a complicated way. It's just too much. Students who actually tried to do all that reading did poorly.

Exactly right. I attempted to do that when I first started but learned fairly quickly that was impossible.

Btw, I actually have the online version of the med/surg book you posted and didn't realize what it was lol. The book I just bought is made by the same publisher so they're both great books and so much more helpful/useful than the mandated textbook.
