What is the last thing you bought for yourself?

A bottle of Skol Vodka and two overpriced skull shot glasses that I have no memory of purchasing.

Getting back into baking now that I have more free time. Though I'd get myself a mixer. Been using the Proctor Silex hand mixer my mom bought me when I moved out at 19....time to upgrade 🤣View attachment 468836
I'm still using my grandmother's KitchenAid from the 1950s that I inherited when she died. That's the one that's built like a tank.

I have no doubt it will outlive me.

I was reading that cusinart mixers are more powerful and have a bigger bowl than KitchenAid and that KitchenAid just has more attachments.

I bet they are really the same
For me, the appeal is that I paid $0 for it and will likely never have to replace it.

One major flaw of consumer goods testing and reviews (Consumer Reports, etc.) is that they don't take longevity into account, i.e. how many years your appliance will last. I suppose my KitchenAid stand mixer might die any year now, but so far it's lasted for over half a century.

I don't know what my problem is but I keep buying all these pairs of long johns and my legs still get cold when I go for walks so I take them back. I invested in these winter yoga pants today, but I also have a pair of wool long johns I will be wearing underneath them

I get so cold so easy on my legs.

Pattern is not something I would ever go for but sizes were limited for my size and I really didn't want the ones that look like something a Granny would wear or the pink camo 🤣
