Hanging out with a friend of mine that I haven't seen in a very long time.. As good as that is in itself, she also brought me two things that she knows I love...

I love both of these and haven't had them in a long time. Having my friend come up and see me was enough to warm my heart and make me smile, but seeing what she brought with her, and her even remembering how much I like both of them really made my day.. hell, my year. She doesn't leave until Sunday either. I think I'm going to come down with a sudden case of the flu and not be able to go to work until Monday..

Women was blabbing away on her cell at the meat counter in the grocery store, not only was she slow to respond to order, but slow at making up her mind. Instead saying all that she wanted, she wait until she got her stuff and the guy was bout to wait on someone else (only two people behind the counter) she interrupts the guy and takes a few minutes to order. 10-15 minutes later, she's done, grabs her basket with just 3 items in it, about faces and slams hard into the side of a refrigerator unit, I mean hard. There was an audible bang, her stuff went flying and more importantly, her cellphone went flying. Cellphone hit the ground and got ran over by another customer, broke all to hell. I think she broke her nose, didn't care, I wasn't in paramedic uniform at that time.

As of Monday I begin my 6 month trial as manager/supervisor of a department in the warehouse of a large fashion company. It's less money and more stress then the position I fill there now, but it's only because at the moment I work 10-12 hours a day 7 days a week, so I'm going from being a single guy with a disposable income to a single guy with a shit-I-don't-know-if-I-should-buy-that income. Maybe I'll close the forum and buy ties for each day of the week instead.
