never had this style of sole or brand of boot before. anxious to try them out. first im going to waterproof them with liquid mink oil. thats whats recommended. then ill give them a whirl.

(while im here) went to the cape this weekend (as previously posted) did some fishing with my son and brothers and nephews and dad. caught 40 fish between us all. black sea bass,robin fish and scupp. catch and release. my bro and son caught the biggest. it was a tie,so-to-speak. (not like it was a competition,but just fun. but with brothers,it winds up as one!) had to have been 11-12 pounders. around 20-22 inches long. mine was next. just a bit smaller then dads,which was a bit smaller than mine was. had the fishing pole double rigged. i caught one double. scott caught three and daniel caught one also. cant wait to go back and do it again. dad rented a boat. i know it costed some cash but todd and scott and i werent about to ask dad! lol...

I just need boots that are comfy and waterproof, still thinking about these, I think D.O.A. had a link in the thread somewhere, I like ankle support and protection.

glad that you got to take some time to hook a few and more importantly got to spend time with the lads ( any pics for the fishing thread ?). I'm in your boat atm have no choice but to do the hours while I can get them. My job could be gone in a few weeks.

And you can always take dad out later Mrln.
