Finally sold--FOR REAL-- my bitch of a house. Look at this thing. Does this look bad to you?
I never thought that there was anything wrong with it except the U.S. state it was in. But I have had a CRAPPY time selling this bitch. First buyer backed out because he/she was dicking us around and we didn't like it. The second buyer was great: 1,000 dollars earnest money, pre-approved financing, the works....but 3 days before the closing--THREE FUCKING DAYS!!!--when we were supposed to be out and on the road--the buyer's lender pulls out and refuses to finance the buyer anymore. I lawyered up and got ready to sue the finance company until my lawyer told me that I didn't have a case because a pre-approval is not a
guarantee that the lender is actually going to let the buyer actually have that money. Did you all know that? I DIDN'T!!! We had all quit our jobs, signed my daughter out of school and had packed, rented the truck, put an offer on a new place in Arizona, paid the earnest money for it and had reserved a hotel for on the way to Arizona. This ALL had to be cancelled. So back on the market the house goes last week and we are all jobless. But after only 4 days on the market, the day before yesterday brought us another buyer, WITH CASH and now the place is sold again. For a few thousand dollars MORE than we listed it for!!! YAY!! So we're off to Arizona in a few weeks and THIS TIME FOR REAL unless for some odd reason this person is robbed or dies. And the way things have gone, I wouldn't be surprised if one of those things happened. But for now, I'm happy.
