Serious What would happen to Washington, DC if attacked by a nuclear bomb?

The light superheats the surrounding air to millions of degrees, creating a massive fire-ball that expands at millions of miles per hour. Within seconds, this fireball increases to a diameter of a little more than a mile,

I feel like the math could be wrong , in whole or in part…a fire ball expanding at millions of miles per hour wouldn’t take seconds to have a diameter of a mile…
Haha)) yeah that's the worst math I have ever seen..let me help you. There are 3600 seconds in an hour. Divide that into 1 million and you get 277.7777777777777 miles. So that's not correct. Fireballs do not travel that fast and far in that amount of time. His "millions of miles per hour" is far too high. ( Most likely a nuclear fireball would travel 10 miles in about 1.5 seconds .....from those two figures you can do the math. )

If you liked her book on what if DC was nuked, she has another book coming out later this month on the 28th called Biological War: A Scenario.
