Filé powder, also called gumbo filé, is a spicy herb made from the dried and ground leaves of the North American sassafras tree

Outside of southern states its hard to find you can order it online but you can also just omit it but if you can get your hands on it its so worth it

Well its more because everyone else is super posh and doesn't take photos of their food, but I grew up in Yorkshire so...
