i know of it. never did that before though. i imagine its the same prep time as doing fondue? with the cutting and chopping.....That's looks great, man!
We had it back then at home too regularly for certain occasions but not the fruits and sweet stuff.
Or so-called Raclettes; small pans, everyone has 3 or 4 for frying on a stove/grill or hot stone on the table. Maybe you know it.

At least someone knows how to cook and make it look ediblePan roasted salmon and asparagus on top of a cauliflower puree topped with butter poached oyster mushrooms I grew over the holidays , some of the basting butter from the pan , and chopped parsley.
