disaster Worker Throws Hot Grease On Coworker During Argument

If that was truly hot there's no way he'd be arguing , he'd be in way too much pain to even think. Maybe it was just warm. Hot oil is fucking insane, even a little flick of it hurts like a bitch.
If someone threw hot oil on me I'd be willing to lose my hand shoving their head neck deep into the vat and holding it under... I'd fuck'n fry the cunt!

The likely reason he was able to stand there after was the hot oil being so hot it caused a 3rd degree (full thickness) burn.

Essentially destroying the nerve endings leading to a loss of sensation and pain.

I once gave myself a tiny 3rd degree burn on my hand touching the glowing heat element of an oven grill. Only a split second of pain, loud sizzle and then totally numb.

You can't remove your affected body part from splashed on oil though. Hot oil keeps on frying until it cools down.

True, but once the burn has gone full thickness through the skin it goes numb. Total loss of sensation. So the hot oil wouldn’t stimulate any further pain at these areas. Any splatters or dribbles that don’t cause as much damage would still sting like a bitch.

Little splatters are nothing. It's the wages of bacon.

You are failing to take into account the differences between the way hot oil and hot surfaces do their damage and the differences in temperature. Hot cooking oil is significantly cooler than a hot grilling surface. The difference in damage is boiled meat versus seared meat. Slow cooking versus broiling.
