So it's 3:30am... Im in a halfway house after having relapsed. I'm now on probation/parole. Earlier today I bought a $20 pack of cigarettes (thank you, New York) so something I do is carry a razor in the pack to cut my cigarette butts in half for a stronger hit... Me and my roommate have both been in prison. My roommate is a trauma baby always talking about traumas, he's been through. He is a cool dude but he just woke up at 330 and told on me to staff that I had a razor. I'm trying to distance myself rn in the living room... He won't leave me alone like even RN he is trying to justify it and all this bullshit. Bro this is my guy, but how should I approach him now. I wanna pull away but is it right. Keep in mind prison fucks people heads up and apparently his is fucked up.. but why not wake me up not snitch on me.. what should I do.
 
You might be better off just not being around people for a little while. They have a way of dragging you into their shit when you have enough to deal with in the first place. I dunno what that boarding house situation involves but all I can think of when I read this is to get the hell out of there even if I have to live rough on my own and try to sort things out. Your own baggage would be heavy enough without having to have other people pile on their baggage as well.

Stay away yourself from people that can only bring you down. What positive influence can this other person have in your life? I'd say none. If you seriously want to turn your life around you will need to pick new friends that are hard working and have positive outlook in life. And yeah, you will need to ditch that razor, no sane person wants to be friends with someone who carries one. Good luck and all the best.

$20 for a pack of cigarettes!? He sounds like a piece of shit, I would steer clear. Make up some shit about needing to be alone so he doesn't retaliate.

He has been through a lot. Blood gang members making him do crazy shit in prison. I hate that snitch dumbass mindset. But your right, I use to hate "snitching" but it's so stupid dude that ghetto ape mentality
