FYI WW2 Vets Still Hanging In There

I’m a female, and I was a PT then, and with the poor old guys they’d be wheeled down to us, with pee bottle, and you knew it was a prostate case…They felt like they would pee themselves but only a teaspoon full would come out, it would happen like 20 times during a one hour session, then they get TURPed, and next day sent down with Foleys full of bloody piss…
So much to look forward to 😉

Tamsulosin (Flomax) or Finasteride (Proscar) become your best pals to help your prostates. Men who are sexually active when they’re septuagenarians and octogenarians are rare. Testosterone falls. Women those ages aren’t really interested either. Seems depressing to me but they’re ok with it 🤷🏻‍♀️
Then, out of curiosity, why are STDs so common in nursing homes? Not questioning your experience mind you, just curious if you have any insight on that?

From my experience working in long term care, you get these old pops with dementia trying to score with the ladies regardless of how near-death they are…one guy was admitted with his wife, he had Alzheimer’s and was a Wall Street broker - would hop into the beds of decrepit, senile old ladies and try to “get it on”, another was in a room with his very sick wife, he had numerous strokes but still wanted to do his wife, he even asked his doctor for Viagra but it was seriously not a med for people prone to strokes, so one day he got pissed off and tried to rape his poor, sick wife…the family agreed to separating them…another thing I’d like to add: I am still amazed that the amount of patients with Alzheimer’s held stressful, but top paying jobs: an admiral, a judge, a woman who was VP of a bank, an abstract artist…and that’s just the ones I remember…
