10 American Serial Killers Who will Haunt Us For Ever.

so then was the ice man a serial killer or a murderer? yes he worked for the mob as an enforcer and killed plenty of men. in various ways. and he even "invented" new methods supposedly. because now I'm a little confused on what i THOUGHT I new,and to what the fbi defines. i still think 2 people isn't enough to be serial material. so if a teen kills more than one animal, that makes him a serial killer too? or just a troubled teen on his way to becoming a serial....
You, my friend, are gold

There's no point in talking to you cause you act like a retarded child. You can't have a normal debate and you've proven that basically since the day you joined here. To argue a member who's father investigated homicides for over 20 years, and to completely dismiss what others are also saying by slapping the same links and screencaps from some source you found on the internet is ridiculous, petty and really reflects on your level of maturity.

Actually it reflects your inability to admit you're wrong. Linking to the official FBI website should be appreciated. You should value an actual source of factual information. It's not some conspiracy theory or pop psych website. The FBI pioneered research into serial murder. That's the ultimate authority on the subject.

As far as the FBI goes..I take everything they have put out..with a grain of salt..most people as well as those in the law enforcement community feel the same.

Things evolve, data changes frequently..as I stated before when it comes to Serial killers..it's complex. The public aren't privy to all the information that others are that work in the field..

There's a very big man who lived a double life
As a dedicated family man and cold blooded hitman
Husband with children
But on the streets he was The Iceman
The mafia hitman
Nicknamed the Iceman
Was a very big man
Wasn't a very nice man
The Iceman wasn't a nice man
Was big and frightening
And struck like lightning
The Iceman, contracted reaper

What you are referring to is profiling in general which hasn't been discussed yet. Far from a science and closer to art. Plenty of cases have been sidetracked by misguided profiles. That being said the general definition of a serial killer is valid. Common sense really.

Law enforcement agencies generally prefer to follow the facts of the case rather than interpret crime scenes trying to make educated guesses about the offender. Profiling is a possible tool in the shed but not every tool is needed for every job.

Animal cruelty and human murder are completely different things legally. Not even close. The symposium page by the F B.I. discusses Kuklinkski and others.
I think a kid who mistreats and kills animals has a great chance of mistreating and killing a human.
if a kid have a violent creation, the chance to he kill someone in adult life is bigger.

Are you fucking stupid? I know what I was referring to..and it wasn't profiling.

Do you have any experience in law enforcement? What do you do for a living?
Here's my background.. not only was my Dad a homicide detective but, also I have other family members in various law enforcement agencies. I also work for a lawyer.

Oh and about those "Official FBI websites"..that is made for the public..
To get to the actual nitty gritty of shit..you must first need clearance and then you're issued a password.. which is all being monitored..

But hey what do I know right??

Are you fucking stupid? Read what I wrote. Generally old fashioned detective work is favored over the art of profiling but that's not saying both aren't tools used together. And your nonsense about "gritty shit" has nothing to do with anything. We're not talking about graphic crime scene photos or videos. No need to get rude.

There's actually a huge amount of people who are cruel to animals in the most extreme way who never even come close to killing humans. The numbers aren't even close. Most grow out of it but even those who don't frequently never kill people. Serial murderers are still rare even among animal cruelty types.

1. Ed Gein serial killer since the beginning. Charles Manson never was a serial killer. Ever. I never called the OP fucking stupid. There's a big difference.

2. While a keyboard glitch you can still figure it out it was the word "definition" but you knew that chubs.
