Dreams Thread

It's done the opposite for me. I did used to have a nap every day on my sofa but over time the weight of all my muscles broke it.... So now I sit in an armchair and only sleep when I go to bed. I sleep for 12 hours more often than not. Eating when in bed helps to sleep longer and I usually have stuff in my system which also helps me sleep.
Great! You dream more now!! Ask your subconscious what it dreamed, and it will give you just a sliver. Grab it, fast! It doesn't last long at all!

I worked with a lad who said In his dreams he is aware that it is a dream so can take control and fly out of his bedroom and fly around his neighbourhood. Which sounds great if I could do it.
Lucid dreaming. I did it once without trying, but it's very difficult. The best thing to do, while you are dreaming, is to get into the habit of saying in your dream, "Am I dreaming right now? I can control this..".

I can't remember what I dreamed last night.... ! Frustrating...

I have read that it is good to go to bed thirsty, and if you have an inkling that your dream is able to be directed, to try going for a drink of water.

I never managed it.
However ludicrous, I never realise I'm dreaming.

Negative. Everyone dreams. (Women can dream in color). It's those damn, elusive bubbles i was talking about...you wake up and then...*pop*. Ask your subconscious what you dreamed, empty your mind, and she will give you just a flash to grasp upon...TAKE IT QUICKLY, or it, too, shall pop...
What do you mean "women can dream in color"? I've always dreamed in color. But my dreams are quite vivid anyway.

I know lol...my Doc wanted me to take a "low dose" for anxiety. I flat out refused. Personally not something I wanted to try.
I was very reluctant when they wanted to switch me from Ativan given it is intended as an anti-psychotic (I know I've been diagnosed with depression but have never been schizophrenic or manic) but given I was an inpatient at the time (so whats the worst that could happen) and I trusted my doc. First few times I took it (50mg) it knocked me on my ass but I seemed to get used to it and its brilliant as a sleep aid.

This is weird. I don't remember it all but I remember a woman being pregnant and a woman was there to help deliver the baby so the preggers lady was kinda naked and she had a va jay jay starting in the normal place and ending just below her rib cage. It was like a giant gaping axe wound with thick long Stragley hairs around it.
I'm thinking it may be due to the picture of a man with his own head up his bum which reminded me of an old disgusting porno type video of a bald men sticking his head in a woman's giant va jay jay. Has anyone has seen that ?
Yea. That's all it was, a woman with a giant clunge over a foot erm, long? Wide? Big.
Oh and the main thing I remembered, but not just now, was the Dr woman saying "oh, you've got one of them then?"

Dreams always mean something. It's our tired body's way of rebooting through the night after all we've beheld that day. Sadly, Dreams are like bubbles, and pop instantly upon awakening. Some of us can remember our dreams, however. I've discovered if I ask my subconscious what I dreamed about and let my mind go blank, I'll get little flashes of memory, and if I can grasp just a piece of it, I start seeing the whole, amazing, yarnspinning, "Where did this story even come from?", phenomenon...

What was your last remembered dream about........?
you sweet heat 😍😍
😂😂

You're better off without the habit forming side of ativan. It's good that the seroquel works for you. Any med questions feel free to ask...I probably know as much as any pharmacist..... :Hurr:

I've been on ativan for extended periods in the past and have always been able to quit cold turkey with no issues, which I realize is a bit unusual and am aware a lot of people struggle with benzo addiction & withdrawal. Thanks for the offer :) Pharmacology is something of a hobby. I enjoy reading monographs (ya, I know thats weird) but I always found it fascinating how brain & body processes are impacted by medications.

I have flying dreams a lot.
More like being able to glide through the air.

Then I wake up and can barely hobble out to put the kettle on.
Don't fly in fog
Don't fly in fog.webp

That's excellent!! Whoever made this has a great sense of humour!
I've seen a few videos from Mexico of what is said to be witches. There's even a policeman or men stating they saw a witch close up and were terrified!
Would explain the hobbling out to put the kettle on!
I've woken up next to a few witches--pretty terrifying first thing.

Astral projection is pretty common in dreams & if you don't freak out can be controlled, you can also use positive affirmations just before sleep to better your life, eg 'I'm going to sleep all night & wake up refreshed' thinking (bit like a chant) this before you drop off can help, drugs & alcohol actually impede proper sleep & won't allow your body to heal when asleep, this is what sleep is about.

I imagine a humming noise, like white noise which can help you sleep, I imagine it. There are many apps which can do it and I've had them in the past. I recently put Carl pilkington vids on YouTube which is just audio from the Ricky Gervais podcast\radio show. I find this help me sleep. There's hundreds of different audio tracks on YouTube which are supposedly to cause certain dreams and help with depression along with pretty much anything else you can think of. I used to listen to a certain one which actually did make me happier and nice and relaxed. I do enjoy a good long sleep.
