What's on the menu tonight?

2 packets of bbq beef Maggi noodles.
And 4 cans of holsten pils for the England v Andorra World Cup qualification match.
Probably 2 packets of walkers crisps later.
I weighed myself a few days ago and if my scales are accurate I've put weight on. After eating 2 packets of fkin noodles a day!?! Makes no sense. I did have clothes on but it shouldn't make much of a difference. All of my clothes don't weigh a few kgs. No chance. My scales are digital and the cheapest ones on ebay so maybe they don't work so good. I've bought digital scales off ebay before for weighing grams and less and I'd get crazy readings for everything. I'd weigh the same thing over and over and get different results every time, so I'd not be surprised if the big scales are off. They don't have an off button but sometimes when I'm trying to use them they'll turn off and when I'm finished they will stay on. And they aren't normal batteries like AAs or AAAs they are the round flat ones, so I pop one out after I use them.
Interesting or what?

wheres it snowing?
here in southern Alberta

Most of the past week was lovely, a little chilly but still beautiful autumn days. This morning started out nice but around noon the wind started up and the sleet turned to snow. It accumulated on the grass (maybe 0.5cm so not much) and it will be all gone by tomorrow. Its normal for this time of the year.

Happy Thanksgiving! Mashed potatoes, yams with rutabaga, beets with dill, baked zucchini, stuffing, corn, broccoli. Pasta salad and about 3 quarts of gravy. Turkey looks funny because I've removed the stuffing from the neck.

while cooking a turkey, one shouldnt baste it as thought to. you need to put a covering of high heat oil on it or a certain kind of butter. i forgot which one. i think clarified butter? but anyway.... basting only makes the turkey take longer to cook and lets the heat out the oven constantly. the skin on the turkey acts as a natural rain coat anyway.
