You are most wrong. We NEED TOTAL gun control. If all law abiding people would be disarmed, then criminals too would give up their guns and all the weapons in an instant. Since they would no longer be afraid that they need to protect themselves and their lives from the law abiding citizens. It is most logical. An unarmed law abiding victim would mean that criminal would no longer need a gun to protect himself from the potential victim, while in the line of committing a crime.

NOTHING will ever change in terms of the gun laws. The NRA are too powerful and your politicians are all pussies. So what's the next best solution? Arming the teachers. At least then there will be a deterrant to these sick fucks that want to shoot up a school.

They are powerful because every time there is another shooting, people rush to buy MORE guns, giving the NRA more money from members and the gun manufacturers to keep lobbying politicians- for people to have EASIER access.
The US owns 42% of all guns WORLDWIDE.

Not sure what the solution is anymore. More guns, less guns, no guns... there will always be a way to get weapons in this country. Until we start dealing with the fact that struggling people and lack of happiness build crazy fuckers like this one, or racist fuckers like the one in Buffalo, or all the others that preceded to grab guns and murder people they didn't know just because. People snap, and they are snapping more often. Add that to the copious amounts of weaponry in civilian hands and easy access, it will continue to happen.

I'm about as pro-gun as you can get but one law/regulation that I think would work somewhat is a waiting period. Not that it would solve everything but if you're in a rage of some sort and you rush out to a gun store (if you don't already have one) and then have to wait 24, 72 hours or whatever and have time to cool down, it could save live(s).

I wouldn't really feel inconvenienced or infringed upon if I had to wait a few days to take possession of a weapon I purchased (although I build most of my rifles at home with barrels, triggers, etc that I ordered separately.)
