A question for anyone who lived in Phoenix 1990 to 1995ish

I'm trying to figure out if a hotel I stayed at way back when.

What I remember about the hotel:
-almost 100% certain it was branded a Pointe Hilton XXXXXXXXXX (that's the part I'm having trouble with)
-sort of a mission style construction, finished with stucco & tiles
-there were a lot of pools & hot tubs throughout of varying size, don't believe they were connected or not (lazy rivers weren't really a thing yet)
-property was reasonably spread out and I seem to recall the buildings (lodging, restaurants, meeting/event space, etc.) all being built around a big hill and at the top of the hill was a fairly large bar/restaurant (I seem to remember a mechanical bull.....don't know if that was a permanent feature or just there for an event)
-the lodging buildings were 2-3 stories (and as mention it was spread out enough you could park your vehicle in front your room)
-it was part of Phoenix, on the edge but not outside the city
-not sure if this helps but I think there was a Pep Boys auto parts store close to the entrance of the hotel property

I seem to recall that at the time there were three hotels branded Pointe Hilton XXXXXXXXX in Phoenix. They still list the Hilton Phoenix Resort at the Peak and Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort. I don't think it was the Peak since that doesn't have that center feature/restaurant on the hill, the buildings and grounds don't look familiar. And the grounds don't seem right as the area around the hotel is built up, which I realize in 30 years will have changes but still. I don't think it was Tapatio Cliffs as its too far out of the city. Buildings look closer to what I remember but also missing that hill.

So, any long term Phoenicians who might make sense of my memories? I was drunk for much of my trip so things are a little fuzzy. I remember going to the Goldfield Ghost Town for a group event, getting tipsy and wandering off into the desert to go for a pee. And going for dinner at the Hyatt revolving restaurant.

Gracias amigos!

Your first sentence is a fragmented sentence... 😐 I cba to read past it now. You're trying to figure if it what? Still has the dead body you sewed into a mattress is still being used? Still employs a maid you banged?
I was typing the post as I was taking a fragmented dump, cut me some slack.

I went for a lunch last week with a guy I used to work with and we were there for a conference, neither of us could remember the hotel's name. Its been annoying me that I can't find the hotel.

I'd never leave a body in the room. For starters there's probably already one in between the box spring & mattress that a previous killer left there. And the proper way to dispose of a lodging related homicide is to pack it out with you. Collect all the physical evidence, scrub the room as best as possible but don't have to be as diligent as you would at home since there is all sorts of DNA in a hotel room to provide for reasonable doubt at trial. Go to a luggage store in the touristy part of the city buy the biggest suitcase they sell, pay cash. It will be huge so no problem to hold most corpses if you do the body origami correctly. Avoid walmart, target, etc. as they have cameras. Load up the deceased and between 0800 - 1000 exit with the suitcase and after you make sure its not leaking any fluids place in the trunk of your rental car. You might be asking why that time of the morning Bill, won't the lobby be busy? Yes, exactly. You'll blend in, less dodgy than if you're trying to sneak out at 2am. Then take your time to find a nice isolated spot in the country to deposit the suitcase. Make sure to check there are no surveillance cameras or looky-loos about. Or so I've heard.

A Phoenix (so likely Mexican) hotel maid from ~30 years ago? Christ no!

I heard if you just have a lot of humidifiers & leave them turned on it can get rid of all your prints too.

I know Kevin Spacey is hated but, he was really great in that.
I almost feel sorry for you guys who watched House of Cards.
Se7en, Usual Suspects, Swimming with Sharks (the TV version is dogshit), Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. even Elvis & Nixon he's quite good. Shame he turned out to be a dirtbag.

LOL, House of Cards was just a project for him to come out of the closet on screen.

I guess some of those characters weren't too much of a stretch for him then like Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil. I've only seen that & Se7en, & the Usual Suspects that you named though.

They're all great movies. Check out Swimming With Sharks....has a young Benicio Del Toro and Frank Whaley (highly underrated actor IMO). Not quite the mind fuck ending of Usual Suspects but still a bit of a shocker.

I've added it to my watchlist. I just watched the trailer and I like Whaley just didn't know his name. Oddly I can't remember what I've seen him in either except Pulp Fiction but, he is good. TY for the recommendation. Must've not sucked if they've made a series out of it.

Sounds a little like the point Hilton at squaw peak. They changed the mountains name because of some stupid dirt worshipper who was killed by friendly fire. I think now it's called the point Hilton at piestiwa peak or something like that. You could also be describing the Biltmore. Both hotels are close to each other. Opposite sides of Squaw peak.
