Phil Anselmo talks about the struggles of addiction, and how it ruined Pantera.

Addiction always brings problems. It has divided many groups and will continue to do so. You only care about yourself or the drugs and getting them. But for addiction you pay a high price not only that your body gives up at some point but you put your ass in slavery yourself
excuses..... and what someone else does is nobody else's BUSINESS :)

That shouldn't be an excuse! I agree with you. Everyone should live the way they want. Only, living in addiction brings with it dependencies. I know that first hand!💉

I'm always interested in hereing how addiction changed someone's life. Those that still struggle, it's never too late to turn your life around.

Addiction does not exist. It is a lot of nonsense for people to excuse their bad behavior and weakness. People think they are great, 'I struggle with addiction' fuck off you overindulgent spoiled piece of shit. My solution for 'addiction' force labor in chains digging trenches. We will see how many sp called addicts will exist.

And changes your whole mindset. Plus it does rob you of happiness. I could've went down that road, after my back surgery. Pain killers do numb everything. I weaned myself from the depending on them. To this day i refuse to take a narcotic for pain, fuck i'll deal with it. I've watched too many decent people become assholes, ruins lives, families, relationships ect. It consumes you. I applaud anyone who's gotten sober, it's not an easy thing to do.

I remember this earlier speech he gave at Loyola University. Really gives you a personal look at his day to day as an addict, and it is fuckin gnarly. Bangin' like 12 bags of dope a day, he is certainly lucky to be alive. I miss Pantera, and Necrophagia even.
