Because I drive HGV's I often have to drive in ever-changing weather, that sometimes swings rapidly from one extreme to another. Do you have the same issues where you live? This video was taken as it went from a dry day to a torrential downpour.

I've never seen it go from one extreme to another, and that car in the ditch, covered by water probably hasn't either lol

wonder how fast they were going to wind up on the other side of the road like that. or at that point is it running water?
you described climate change. were getting hit here in the u.s. with the same shit. from droughts to now ever falling rain and snow in the same area. same here on the north east coast of the states. unusualy warm winter this year. but now its cold like it should be. almost zero snow fall also. but were supposed to have a snow storm in a few days.
mother nature is being bi-polar.

We drive on the left, but they would have been skelping along to aquaplane off into a ditch and rip bumpers off

When I was driving around Australia i was driving along in nice sunny weather and could see what looked like a cloud up the road, drove a bit further and it was like a curtain of heavy rain, no spitting, no light shower, just beautiful sunshine to a massive downpour in less than a second, and bang it was gone again a mile or so up the road,
Weird experience

Pardon my ignorance, but what's an HGV? Heavy Gross Vehicle?

I used to live in Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia. Very tropical and our northernmost city.

When the monsoon came in the rain fall was unbelievable. 1.7 meters per year or 68". All that rain falls between December and April.

And when you get a cyclone come in or even come close, the rain is just crazy. There is not much topsoil up there as monsoons for millennia have washed it all away so the land clears the water quickly.

But roads get washed away and bridges and railway lines. Slow moving, gentle rivers turn into thunderous brown torrents. Katherine river has a bridge over it that's quite high. Pic below. When the town got flooded in 1998 a crocodile was found dead caught up in the bridge...
