On a serious side, they're designed to soak up blood from pussies OR puncture wounds, broken branch wounds, stab wounds or gun shots, stuff a med in the hole & it expands & helps seal the wound, wrap wound, stops bleeding out.
Sanitary pads are good for packing larger holes, same deal, they expand, don't go all squeamish as these products are clean until opened.
