Getting a tattoo is stupid

scott13214

I am better than you!
Getting a tattoo will hurt you financially and socially. If you are a girl in a bar with a visible tattoo. You are immediately labeled as a slut, and mentally stupid. The average successful guy may want to fuck you, but he will not respect you or want to be with you. You would typically be labeled as the kind of girl that should just be abused and used.
If you are a guy, and you go to that high profile, job interview with a visible tattoo. Your résumé just hit the shredder. Financially and socially you just fucked yourself.

These are not opinions, these are hard facts you might want to think about before you fuck up your life getting a retarded tattoo.

I have seen girls in fancy social situations laughed at and disrespected because of tattoos.
I have seen guys who graduated from Harvard ,Columbia, Yale , and several other Ivy League schools rejected from powerful fortune 500 companies, or lucrative career paths.
The only places that tattoos are really acceptable, is the Midway at the fair, sailors on ships, or strippers. Of course, prison, but nobody really cares about that.

Depends On The Tattoo

It depends on your industry and location. If you have visible tattoos in an old industry like banking, people will judge you.

You work in a tech company, then most companies and people won't care as long as you can provide value. Frankly, I have seen CEOs and VPs walking around with tattoos all over the place. Does it matter? No, because their intelligence and ability to do something valuable is more important than images on your body.

This is obviously not the case for offensive tattoos.

Things like this aren't black and white. You're closed minded.

One girl in the bakery here has tats like a 'hardened criminal' up to the neck. 😄 Almost too much, but that's not my business. And she's a nice one.
But in the past, she wouldn't have got the job, that's true.

What I find weird are the tight suits, the bankers and lawyers wear today. They seem all too skinny, head too big.
'Pictures of Matchstick Men' come to my mind.

I am heavily tattooed. I have an MBA and I have worked for very large companies (Fortune 100) with my visible tattoos. Included in my many tattoos I have what we call "job stopper" tattoos here, specifically my hands, and I have never been disrespected. I've had a very lucrative corporate career, am now out of corporate America by choice. I've built up enough of a nest egg to have a job now that I very much enjoy and still get paid well. I own my home free and clear, I travel extensively and basically do what I want.

Am I a slut? By your definition probably. The guy who "only wants to fuck me." Well, I probably only want to fuck him too. So it's not hurting my feelings if he doesn't call, I likely didn't give him my number to begin with.

I am so sad these tattoos have ruined my life. :-)

I wouldn't personally want one most likely because of OCD. (I'd be trying to wipe it off. Lol). I use to feel the same way about tattoos when I was younger, not because of the financial aspect, but the religious side. Now, I have 3 grown daughters. They've had piercings and ear gauges...one daughter has a verse from "Alice in Wonderland" tattood on her shoulder. So, I'm ok with it. I have family and friends with them.

You sound like jesus loves you

I kind of agree people will judge tattoos, whether it be the quality of them, what they represent, or just having them. I have one and I still judge people that have them. I picked mine off the wall when I was 18 (no clue what it means) and luckily put it on my shoulder blade so it's rarely visible. This dog groomer place up the street has a few people covered in tattoos and I just get a bad feeling about them so I go further to a more expensive place. I think it has something to do with vanity, which could apply to people with too much plastic surgery, fillers, dressing slutty, etc. and that makes me question the judgement of those kinds of people.

I dont have any and only because I have never felt the urge to get one but I will say some of them are amazing including my sons who spent months and thousands of pounds getting his done and they really are works of art. The tattooist that did his has a waiting list of over a year.
