It always amazed me how some people put their bodies to such pain instead of going to a psychologist. Because this guy, definitely needed therapy and meds.

I'm assuming the reference is to violent/socially unacceptable sexual compulsions, as it's not specifically mentioned. Castration chemically or physical is a somewhat contentious way of addressing this problem. Perhaps if he had researched more on other therapeutic modes than various types of castration methods, he'd have a better net outcome
