I went to an all boy school and whilst we had fights quite often I never saw this level of violence...

What is wrong with these little whores?
When I was a student, I had a lecture with a respected youth social rehabilitation specialist. He told us that girls' fights are almost always way more brutal than boys' fights. Most of his gore memories were from girls' rehabilitation centers, and dude worked at adult prisons as well. It was part of lecture about stereotypes in education, so he didn't elaborate on that.

My guess is that boys don't wait till tension is unbearable, but girls try to use other methods as long as possible, so when they fight, the tension is ridiculously high already.

That's a good point. In sociology we were lectured ad nauseum about the wonders of feminine problem solving but your point indicates that even that has its limits.

It's like the Japs. All buttoned down but when the buttons pop they go postal in that peculiar Japanese way, like baby stabbing or Sarin on the underground...
