Those of us who didn't grow up with smart phones have trouble understanding the immersive experience of a virtual life lived in tic toc or FB or X etc.

When people post that they ate at a particular McDonalds you know you are living in a world that has turned the mundane into the noteworthy.

I can remember when playing 'chicken' was all the rage. Teenagers would put their leg out into the traffic in 'dares' to see who could come closer.

The 'like' phenomenon is this thing turbo charged by social media.
