A man suffered an electric shock and fell from a height of around 5 meters while trying to make a clandestine connection to a pole located in Fortaleza, Ceará state, on Tuesday afternoon (30).
According to witnesses, the man, who works as a bricklayer and electrician, had been asked to make a clandestine energy connection, and climbed the pole to carry out the procedure without using any safety equipment.
During the action he received an electric shock and got his foot caught in the wiring. During his attempts to disentangle himself from the wires, he received three more shocks, became unbalanced and fell from a height of around 5 meters.
Once on the ground, the man was seen completely naked and with several burns all over his body. He complained of severe pain while people tried to protect him from the sun with a sheet. He was taken to the burns unit of the local hospital.
